I had a terrific experience last year, and looking back, I am somewhat grateful because not only did it make me realize that sometimes we suffer more in our imaginations than in reality, but it also left me with lifelong lessons.
The very first lesson it taught me was to never allow my problems to overwhelm me; no matter how severe I might think they are, there is always going to be a solution. A solution that needs me to think it out and implement it. It made me understand better that indeed, no amount of worry, crying, suffering, or punishing myself could ever solve anything.
It taught me that sometimes the problem we think is a mountain might actually just be a mole hill. Therefore, allow yourself to breathe so you can reason properly. Do not go into self-misery without first finding out the root cause of the issue so as to know what the next action should be.
That experience made me understand that no matter what I am going through, I should never self-sabotage. I should never lose faith and courage in myself or in God. I should use each experience as a ladder to my own growth and betterment. It taught me to never tie my worth to results because sometimes things do not go as planned. It’s possible to put in your best efforts and still not get the desired results; you might deserve the front seat, yet you would be given the back seat. So it’s important to never lose confidence in your abilities or in yourself, because only then will you be truly finished.
Most importantly, it taught me that there’s more opportunities ahead. So, never quit trying; it builds your confidence, expertise and prepares you better for future opportunities.
I hope that when this message finds you, you apply these lessons to your life too. I hope that this message makes you understand better how important it is, you develop a better approach to facing life challenges because they are inevitable in life. I hope you understand better that mistakes, failures, or mishaps cannot end you or your career, but only you can, and that’s when you give up on yourself.
